What is Creative Writing

Published by crsenter at 3:12 am under Tips for Creative Writers Edit This

What is Creative Writing?  It’s writing for the sheer joy of writing.  It’s poetry, short stories, news articles, and even that letter you wrote to your grandmother yesterday.   Any time you put words to paper or to your computer screen, you are being a creative writer.  If you’re a writer, and you’re being creative, that would make you a creative writer. Writing is the one form of communication that can take a mundane situation and turn it into an adventure.  You can simply write, “I went to the park”, or you can get creative and write, “I walked to the park on that bright and sunny afternoon”.  It’s the same thing, with different characteristics.  It gives you the power to bring life to something inanimate.

As a creative writer, you can be anything or anybody you want.  You can meet people from ancient history, from the future, or from other worlds.  You can visit all the places you’ve ever wanted to go.  It’s all about using your imagination to take you beyond the scope of reality.  Creative writing is exhilarating.  It’s freedom like you’ve never known.  But most of all, it allows you to bring the entire world to your doorstep.

No matter what genre you write in, no matter what topic you cover, it’s all creative writing.

No, my friend, it’s me that is the one who is proud to call you my mate. Just remember, everything I’ve become in this blogging world, is because of a a dude called AussieSire.

Besides, I gotta make sure we get to go on that double date. LOL

That may be so, but that only happens when there’s a really good teacher to show the student the path.
