Are you a writer?
What makes you a writer? Do you have to be a college graduate? Is it important to have published a string of paperback books? No! If you enjoy writing poetry, you’re a writer. If you write stories, you’re a writer. If you’re a blogger, you’re a writer.
Since I entered into the blogging world, I’ve been amazed at the amount of talent out there. What’s more amazing is the fact that less than half of these writers realize that they are truly writers. This is especially true in the Make Money Online field. It seems that everyone who starts a blog is in it to make some money. True, a lot of them give great information, but they don’t take the time to check their grammar or even their spelling.
The blogging industry is becoming one of the top leading industries on the Internet. It’s been proven by hundreds of people that you can make money through blogging. But in order to keep people coming to your blog, you’ve got to be a good writer. You might have all the knowledge in the world, but if your words are hard to read, you could potentially lose your customer base.
If you’re looking at getting into blogging as a way to make money, make sure you write in a way that will make your readers want to come back for more. Don’t rely on your spell checker to fix all the mistakes for you. Do your best to make sure your punctuation is correct, and stay on top of your grammar. If you can show your talents as a writer, your readers will keep coming back.

Writers are people who write. It saddens me when I hear of someone who says “I’d love to be a writer, but I just put stuff in my journal.” They are writers. They aren’t maybe professional writers who are paid to write. They aren’t published authors who have their name in print. But they write, therefore they are writers. Great post!
Great post, and so very true. I’ve been writing since I was a young kid, and things just keep changing.
Writing is a life, as much as a job. Not sure what I would do I couldn’t write.
I totally agree. I am really amazed at the number of people who don’t think of themselves as writers.
This is more true in the blogging world than anywhere else. I’ve met a lot of bloggers over the past couple of years, and less than half of them think of themselves as real writers.
Thanks honey.
@ reginaavalos and aebersole—Thanks for stopping by. It’s great to see other writers coming in and hanging out.
I’ve always wanted to write. I wrote my first story in the 4th grade, and was hooked.
Writing has always been my hobby, and for the past few years, part of my job. It’s something I’ll do no matter if I’m making money or not.
“Don’t rely on your spell checker to fix all the mistakes for you”
My spell ckeck went on strike…. I guess when even the spell checker how no clue what word your spelling, well, then you know you have problems… good thing for my wife.
LOL, yes, we wives have a knack for picking out the misspelled words and turning them into readable script.
