Writing Your Own Ads
I write on several blogs and sites across the web. One thing I had always seen was people looking for writers to create ads for their sites. I’ll be honest, this was something I thought I could never do. However, I found out real quick that it’s a lot easier than I thought it would be. Right now, I write ads for about ten different sites, and if I can do it, anyone can.
We live in a world that is inundated with commercials and ads for everything from pantyhose to hair gel to performance enhancements. And the thing is, someone had to write up all those ads. After spending a few hours listening to those ads and commercials, you’ll find out that most of them are basically the same. The main difference is the way each product is presented. Some are serious, some are humorous, and some are emotional. But they all do the exact same thing; make you want to buy their stuff.
The easiest way figure out what to write about is to check out what’s hot. You can do that with just about any keyword program. I know a lot of people use the big keyword selection tools, but I’m not a rich person, so I use any freebie I can get my hands on. One of the best freebies is Google Hot Trends. It’s updated regularly, and tells you what people are searching for. All you do, is find out what the people want, and go from there. For example, Harry Potter movies are a hot topic right now. So, all I do is find places online that are selling Harry Potter movies cheaper than other places and talk about it. Boom, Bang, I have a post about a hot topic that will be picked up by the search engines.
Want to write about something that isn’t exactly hot in the search engines? That’s ok. It’s still done basically the same. You just write about it, give some details for your readers to get in on, and a link to the product your trying to sell. It’s all a matter of how you do it. The main thing to remember is to write in a positive voice. When your readers sense the positive attitude in your writing, they’ll take that with them as they check out your product.
Honestly, you can sell anything you set your mind to, as long as you write about it creatively and in a positive manner.
