Using Article Submission Tools

Published by crsenter at 9:14 pm under Tips for Creative Writers Edit This

Ok, so this isn’t so much about the act of creative writing, but more along the lines of what to do with your writings once they’re finished.  I’ve been reading a lot about article directories, and the impact they’re having on the Make Money Online community.  I’m hearing about certain individuals who are making boo-coo bucks by submitting to these directories and having their links in their author bios.  And, that’s cool.  I think that’s a really awesome idea.

So, as I was doing a little research into the wonderful world of article directories, I can across these things called Submission Bots.  No, this isn’t going to be a sales pitch about buying one of these things.  However, I did find a freebie among all the different versions, so I thought what the heck and downloaded it to give it a shot.

So, the good points are this.  You have a huge list of article directories at your beck and call.  All you have to do is sign up with these directories, enter the information into the bot, and then get ready to shoot your article out to all these different sites.  Cool, I can do that.  You upload your article into the bot, add a little bio with your details and links, and then it’s just a matter of moving from one site to the next and hitting a few buttons.  Right?  Wrong.

Sure, that’s how a majority of them work, but there are a few where you’ve got to go in and manually add your bio.  Some, you’ve got to really pay attention to the category they put your article in.  I was working with an article I wrote about dealing with teenagers, and they listed it in the “Home and Family: Appliances” section.  Appliances??

The thing about it is that not all article directories are the same.  Some allow you to have 3 or 4 links to your site or sites.  Some only allow you to have 1.  Some sites allow HTML in the article itself, while others don’t.  So, I’ve come to the determination that it’s just as easy to sign up for these article directories and just submit my articles the old fashioned way; with copy and pasting abilities.  No, I’m not talking about plagerism here, I’m talking about just cutting my article from my word processor and adding it to each site individually.  Sure it takes a little longer, but not really all that much.  Plus, I’ll know exactly how many links I’m allowed per site, so that way I can add my Creative Writing site to all my articles.  :)

Thanks for the tips. I’ll need to incorporate them.
